This proposal builds on ten years
of collaborative activities between Emory University and U. Chile
through the Fogarty International Training and Research in Environmental
and Occupational Health (ITREOH) program, and five years with
University of Georgia (UGA) joining on the Fogarty grant. This work has
been quite productive, resulting in training numerous people
successfully.
Our
ITREOH work also led to the completion of a number of projects which
resulted in peer-reviewed publications. There is a proven
infra-structure at the School of Public Health in Chile, and a core of
investigators, that can serve as a strong basis for a regional hub.
